Do Your Part

he SS United States is an American icon that        has unbelievably stood the test of time. What        is it that keeps her here with us today, instead of being scrapped like so many others? Not many ships have balanced so well on the edge of an uncertain future for as long as the United States has. I want to take this as a sign that there is a viable future for the ship.

here is a lot that still must be done, and many       obstacles that have to be faced. But even in           its eleventh hour, I believe the ship is currently in the most capable and safe hands. She's one of the last great ocean liners, and she SHOULD be saved.
